One of the most common questions that Donna gets asked is ‘How do I hard dark shadows under my eyes?’ or ‘How can I hide my rosacea?’ – well put simply, it is with the correct colour concealer which will always be the holy grail of your makeup routine!
We have created this simple colour wheel, like being back at school, for you as a reminder of what base colour concealer will work to hide a particular problem.
THE BASICS TO REMEMBER:
HOW TO COLOUR CORRECT DARK CIRCLES:
Those pesky dark circles under your eyes always have a bluish hue – so using the colour wheel it shows that shades of peach and orange will be perfect for cancelling them out.
Depending on the lightness of yours skin tone, use peach for the lightest up to orange for darker skin tones.
HOW TO HIDE ROSACEA AND REDNESS
Using the colour wheel, you can see that green cancels out red so therefore a green colour correcting concealer will instantly neutralise the redness you are experiencing ie blotchiness, spots or rosacea.
Be careful to start lightly with green as it has a higher pigment so layer gently and build as you need to.
HOW TO CORRECT SALLOW OR DULL SKIN:
If your skin is looking dull, yellow and sallow then a purple/lavender colour concealer will help add a spot of radiance. Apply lightly wherever your skin needs it most.
