Top 5 Gift Guide – beautiful gifts to inspire.
We obviously hope that our award winning makeup bags will be top of your shopping list this Christmas, but we thought it would be a nice idea to share a few of our favourite gift choices with you.
Donna’s Gift Selection
I literally cannot sleep without my fave lavender pillow spray, my husband cracks up each night as I do it religiously! By some weird coincidence, we met Clare and Darren, the owners of Made by Coopers on a flight to Greece earlier this year and we have become good friends.
Swimmers Poster by Fine Little Day at Southwood Living. Hayley appeared on our blog last week and this gorgeous poster is from her gorgeous home store which promotes wellness, calm and wholeness. I have dabbled into wild swimming this year and would love to do more so this poster will be a gentle nudge every day to keep the thought alive…I would frame it and put it in my downstairs loo!
Keeping it local – Brighton Gin is my absolute favourite tipple and not just for Christmas!! There are lots of lovely gift sets available for Christmas including cute gin baubles for the tree.
I absolutely love candles and I love body oil and use it regularly- so this combo always makes me happy! The Neom range feels so self indulgent and makes you and your room smell divine!
If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I LOVE pink and I’d love a baby blush pink cashmere jumper…This one by Gobi has a matching beanie and is such great value!

The Cut Glass Collection candles by Olive Tree Candle House are a divine gift choice for special friends. All gifts come beautifully packaged in a stunning gift box and owner Helen also offers a refill service and a monthly candle subscription with two beautiful vintage style cut glass candles arriving every month to your door in a variety of scents. Just gorgeous.
Many of you know that I live in The Isles of Scilly but what you might not know is that Scilly is a haven for talented female creatives who design products inspired by their surroundings. Sophie Hooper makes unique jewellery from hand picked sea glass and many of her creations are hammered with local granite to make the beautiful textures. I adore her work and I am sure you will too.
For all the coffee lovers out there…Kate Fletcher, who owns divine Essex home store Vintage Style Living, has had to deal with completely closing her doors twice now during 2 lockdowns and additional tiered restrictions.
Kate had no online presence so has had to do a lot of adapting to ensure that the business can survive. Her small team have now created a ‘coffee club’ for locals no longer travelling into London, to ensure they can get a fabulous (takeaway) coffee and has even created a bespoke blend of coffee to sell.
They are slowly managing to get stock online so please do take a look here. Kate has incredible taste and the shop, when open, is always styled to perfection. They have a great plant section too – Kate grows many of her own plants in her garden greenhouse developed during lockdown.
Martin and Cox Living Gifts is the brainchild of owner Jemma Cox, a florist and plant enthusiast who wanted to offer a long lasting alternative to receiving a bunch of flowers.
The living gift collection offers you a choice of plant, pot and bespoke gift tag which can be hand written and all delivered to your door in a gorgeous bespoke gift box.
Jemma has recently created her own stunning pot collection with unique leather tabs in a huge variety of colours and textures – a really beautiful gift.
Kiln Studio is my favourite little place to mooch in the cute fishing village of Port Isaac. Sue, owner and creative, hand paints a stunning selection of modern china, textiles and stationery as well as stocking a gorgeous range of homewares from a careful selection of suppliers. She has great taste and it is a guarantee that I never leave empty handed! Luckily a lot of Kiln’s stock is now online and Sue is always happy to do arrange a private facebook viewing if you would like a bespoke shopping experience.
